SP.eye™ is the first intravitreal injection system to integrate sharps safety with precision delivery of the needle. It ensures consistent injection safety - both for the patient and clinician, and is set to revolutionise the delivery of intravitreal drugs.

Salar Surgical started when Consultant Ophthalmologist Sam Evans came to 7TH seeking help at the earliest concept stage to help design and develop a device to help guide intravitreal injections. Duncan ended up joining as a co-founding member of the team at Salar Surgical and helped design and develop this patent pending surgical device through to point of manufacture.

SP.eye™ was shortlisted for the prestigious EuRetina Innovation award, and Salar Surgical Ltd. has recently been awarded Medilink medical device startup company of the year.
